Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich Please
My husband got a craving for a cheese steak sandwich and then I got a craving for a cheese steak sandwich. So we made some for dinner one night and it was oh so good. He wanted to go pretty basic and buy the Gardein Beefless Tips, bread, and Daiya cheese but I thought that I could jazz it up a bit.
We grilled the bread and then I sauteed a sweet onion and red pepper slices. I added Gardein Beefless Tips to the mixture
Then I made the most delicious vegan cheese sauce ever (well it ranks right up there with the nacho cheese sauce I make) from The Vegan Zombie. It was a great sandwich and as you can see I love things smothered in cheese sauces or any sauce for that matter. I would be happy eating bread and gravy for the rest of my life. I would make this again but next time I might cut the Gardein Tips into smaller pieces so that it was easier to eat. Overall, a very easy and delicious treat!

Basil Lime Sorbet
Recently a friend had me over for a fantastic lunch and at the end she brought out a green basil sorbet. It was awesome! I had to go home and make some for myself, so I did and here is the recipe.
Basil Lime Sorbet by Kari Whitney
2.5 ounces of basil (30-40 big leaves)
3/4 cup fresh lime juice
lime zest from 1 lime
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup agave nectar
1 Tbls coconut butter
Place all ingredients into the Vita Mix and blend until smooth. Place into a cake pan and put into the freezer. Every hour or so stir the mixture until it firms up. It is now ready to eat! Or you can keep it in the fridge in a glass container.
